The workbook is put together nicely. I find it be an essential learning tool. However, there is a BIG mistake in the A counterpoint workbook book text "Counterpoint, Based on Eighteenth Century Practice." On p the very first page of chapter three, there is supposed to be an excerpt from a Bach Two-Part Invention.
It is not. I don't know where it came from/5(9). One of the most difficult things I've found is to find a counterpoint book that has exercises. This is the perfect complement to the book.
I really enjoy being able to practice through this complement to the course. Many versions of the book exist. Make sure you get the right workbook for your version of the book/5(2). This book covers counterpoint in the style of Johann Sebastian Bach. If you want to learn how to write polyphonic pieces in this style of music, this is the book.
